Who is NOLA Shines?
With Nola Shines, Christin Meador returns to her father’s hometown in order to tell the stories of success for the city she loves. An activist, world traveler and performer, Christin has lived and created art in Ghana, Cuba, Vietnam and France. Her artistic focus is to tell the stories of many in communities where voices haven’t been heard. While she isn’t working on Nola Shines and perusing a career in performance, Christin serves as the executive director of Slightly Askew, a New York base arts collective focusing on creating new works of socially conscious performance based art while giving back to the youth and communities through outreach and charitable work.
